Saplings @ The Sports Centre is a small friendly Day Nursery located in purpose built accommodation at Tunbridge Wells Sports & Indoor Tennis Centre. We care for up to 22 children aged from 3 months between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Locally, we are well-known for the dedication and commitment of our staff and the strength of our staff team - truly professional yet friendly and caring, giving support to both children and parents.
In addition to our Day Nursery sessions we offer occasional care for members of the sports centre who can access significant discounts to our hourly rates. We also run holiday clubs during the Easter and Summer holidays for children aged 5-7years which run alongside the holiday clubs run by the sports centre for the over 8's.
Children are encouraged to be confident and independent, at the same time learning to work and play companionably with others. We concentrate on children as individuals and therefore each child receives a great deal of individual attention and guidance.
All our activities are planned in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and Montessori and French sessions are held on a weekly basis.
More information can be found on our Parents Page. If you would like to speak to someone directly for more information, to receive a prospectus or to arrange a visit please call us on 01892 681427. If you would like to register for our waiting list, please download this form.

Planning for the Early Years Foundation Stage
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is how the government and early years professionals describe the time in your childs life between birth and 5 years.
As an early years setting we follow the EYFS Framework that sets out the legal welfare requirements, the 7 areas of learning and development, assessments on your childs progress and the expected levels that your child should reach by the age of 5 years, usually by the end of reception year at school. These expectations are called the Early Learning Goals (ELGS). More information on the EYFS can be found on our Parents Information Page.
Alongside the core staples of nursery activities we make available to the children, we offer different opportunities for them to learn and become involved, depending upon their individual needs and interests. In addition, to ensure that all areas of learning and development are experienced by the children we supplement these opportunities with weekly adult initiated/led activities.
